If you were to see me in line at a coffee shop and start up a friendly conversation, I would’ve appeared sane and oblivious just like so many others on this planet. And if while standing in line one were to ask “Do you believe in aliens?” I would’ve given a slight chuckle, and said that I do indeed believe in a higher life form, or that the Universe is too large of a place to house only humans. But let me be clear, I would not have actually bought into the small-talk rhetoric I was giving you.
Did I believe in aliens? I don’t know. Maybe. Probably. I believed that intelligent lifeforms were somewhere out there. After all, I grew up on movies and shows like Star Wars, and Star Trek, and loved the idea of it all. But never, NEVER, in my heart of hearts and mind of minds, did I believe that I would live to see the day when I would see, let alone speak, to an actual alien.
